I think we should go. DU was born at the Bush installation. Seems only fitting that we be there when he's run out of town.

1. That's going to be a kick-ass inauguration
lots of great music, I bet... Democrats always have better musicians and entertainers...

I wouldn't mind going... For me, it's only a 3 hour train ride...

7. with bells on
I will offer to personally count the white house silverwear;

Won't it be nice to have the White House, the house of the people once again open to the public after the imposter Mule.

Like a breath of fresh air.

Although, I think it will need some sort of cleansing/exorcism, to get that anti Christ bastard's evil vibes out.

9. Went to Shrub's
I was so pissed off in 2000 about the whole Florida thing that I actually flew all the way from out here in California to DC to protest Bush's inaugural.

It was pretty cold for a DC winter day and not as many shrub supporters showed up as they had expected, I think. We took over the parade route, basically. But you wouldn't know if from the media coverage of that day. The media has basically been in the bed with Bush since that day. I guess they thought it was their patriotic duty to close ranks behind our newly selected president.

One thing I'm desparately hoping for this November is that Bush gets not just defeated, but humiliated. I want him to slink into some rathole with his head bowed never to be raised again in our public life.

Anyway, won't be at Kerry's inaugural. But the last one was a blast of righteous anger.

Wish we could have sustained that and turned into a national groundswell of rejection. We might have too had not 9/11 and the corporate media buried the true story of the Florida recount.

10. I was there, too, kennetha
Amazing to think that you flew all the way from California! Good for you!

I traveled by bus from NJ and I not only want to go for the Inaugurations, I want to go for moving day. I want to stand outside the vice-president's house and yell, "Get out of Gore's house!!" while Cheney hauls his sorry ass out of his stolen residency.

I agree with your last paragraph. I can think of few times that were so devastating as when we took over that city and then to see the lies put out by the NY Times the next day. The bastards could only walk about 500' of the parade route for all the heckling, jeering and tomato and egg throwing, yet the Times ran a picture like he walked the parade route with no problem.

It was a horrible, horrible time. But help is on the way!

14. It was freezing that day.... freezing rain and dreary as hell
Perfect day to inaugurate Satan. I was there as well. :hi:

You're absolutely correct about 9/11... without that, he was headed for disaster long before now. Tomorrow is another day... and tomorrow is looking bad for Dubya.
