All the giant flags are going up

on the hi-rise buildings in Arlington, VA. Everybody is getting ready for 9/11. So are people putting flags up where you are?

One of the resturants here in West Hollywood has flags up and a "Never Forget" banner.

3. Heard in the subway this morning...

A musician doing a beautiful rendition of "Let It Be." It choked me up on my way to work.

4. Doesn't seem like a "flag" thing to me.

And I really can't explain why.
Maybe I feel that in some ways we brought it on ourselves?
I don't know. Just don't feel very patriotic about much of anything that's going on now.
Maybe it's just me.

6. It amazes me how so many Americans are.......

....deep into the "Patriotic thing" until it comes to helping
their fellow citizens by electing people who can truly help the citizens of their own country.
They stand all teary-eyed before the Flag while doing zilch about the health care system, homeless, unemployment and the slew of other social problems.
