I'm SERIOUSLY Thinking Of Growing Out My Hair
a.k.a. Hippie-Style

i'm gonna find out if my company will let me do it.

i already wear my Liberalism on my sleave. Got me a peace sign Tattoo but its on my back.

i want to be stereo-typed as a "long-haired hippie liberal" and haven't had long hair since i was in high school.

i'm not grey by any means and am REALLY considering doing this.

ahhhhhhh pony tails again!

won't it be GRAND??

:D

1. Yep!
I LOVE fellows with long hair. My husband's is below his shoulders, and has not cut it in the 15 years we've been together.

3. Do you really want to test their limits?
Then get your infamous purple hippo tattooed on your chest. Then rip open your shirt at work and say "who wants to touch it?".

Anyway, sure, hippie hair can be cool. Just be sure to include a hemp headband holding it back.

6. Please, no tight ponytails on men! UGH.
A nice loose hippie type is good, but it's hard to picture you that way.

7. Do It!
Long is good.

Not so sure about the ponytail bit though, it always felt like it was being pulled on
when I did that.

Long and free is best.

15. You'd look good either way.
I tend to prefer the look of shorter hair on men, but that's just me. Long hair can look good too if the man's good looking enough to pull it off. You've got it going on enough that it's probably the case. Point of my usual longwindedness is:
if you want to do it, go for it!!!

:hi:

16. Go for it.
If I had any hair left it would still be long. That bald guy with a pony tail thing is just so wrong so I have learned to embrace my baldness.

Sorry...you asked :-)

Bell Bottoms should stay in the 70's and so should the hair!

(I can see I'll get shit for this, but ugh and oogy. Bald is sexy)

19. Do it! I grew mine out
until it was 14 inches long in a ponytail. Then I went and had it cut and sent to "Locks of Love".

http://locksoflove.org/

I am growing it out to do this again.

I enjoyed wearing a ponytail, easy upkeep. But trying to find a good and comfortable headband until it was ponytail length...ouch! I had no idea how hard finding one of those to fit comfortably could be...

Let us know how it goes when you decide!

22. I like the style on men where it is
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 07:37 PM by Ilsa
long and very straight on the top of the head and pulled back into a ponytail, and the hair on the sides is cut short. I've seen this style with straight dark hair and I have complimented a number of young men with it like that. It was popular in the early 1990's.

Go for it, Matcom (as long as the boss sayz okay).

Sign said long haired hippie people need not apply. So I pulled my hair up under my cap and I went in to ask him why. He said you look like fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do. So I pulled off my cap and "Imagine that! Huh! Me working for you!"

25. My friend has long hair
He thinks that it is a better expression of himself. He is unemployed though and thinks that it hurts him in his jobhunt. His opinion though of such companies is that they are a bunch of uptight Nazis who care more about appearances than the quality of the work. His unemployment runs out at the end of the month so I hope that he doesn't cut it because of that.

32. DO IT matcom!
men with long hair can be really hot.

it will take patience, though. a lot of awkward stages.

once it gets long enough for a ponytail, cut a piece of old pantyhose to put your ponytail in. it doesn't break the hair off at all, and that's important. do NOT use those cloth covered bands.

:yourock:
