Imagine my shock to hear my friend, who most likely voted Republican in the womb, go OFF on * yesterday on the phone! She's pissed about the $87 billion... I figured I was dreaming, so I threw in, "Isn't it time to bring our troops home, too?"

You're kidding me, I have YET to see any frustration over Smirky coming from a Right-winger I know.

I currently live in Arkansas, and trust me these people LOVE their Clinton-bashing. So much so that in instances where I'm disgusted with Smirky they either get silent, or try and Blame Clinton.

If it wasn't for Gene Lyons weekly column, I wouldn't even buy a newspaper. The editorials, and Bradley Gitz's fanfare, constant fawning, and near-religious worship of Smirky make me want to vomit. These people are so brainwashed letters have been written saying we were "God-Blessed" to have Smirky as our pResident.

Deal with conservatives like you would cult-members, delicately. They need to be slowly shown, and accept for themselves that "Bush is NOT the Messiah"

I have a very religious co-worker who was very into the Promise Keepers, Focus on the Family, LaHaye, etc. I certainly haven't shaken her faith but she now truly believes Bush is the anti-Christ. :evilgrin:
