I WANT THIS CAR DAMMIT!
:bounce:

The Toyota CS&S concept has a 1.5 litre engine in the rear. At the same time, it produces electrical current, either for storage or for driving the front-wheel, hub-mounted electric motors. (Manufacturer Photo)

Why haven't they invented these things yet! I guess scientists are still too busy finding better ways to kill people.

14. I often wonder that myself?
I mean, for instance, fuel cell technology...

why in the sam hell is the government not cramming that through the development and engineering pipes to get a green-friendly, economic version available to the public? Oh yeah, that $87 Billion might be going to fund the war.

I had one of those Peeeeeezzzezzzzokrrrrappp. I walked more than I drove. Same year I think, 89. Whoever put a Ford Engine, a Renault Transmimission, and a GM suspension system into those things should be forced to push one up Mt. Everest.

7. But can that car do THIS?

The car will cost about £150,000
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/england/london/3077508.stm

The convertible Aquada Sports Amphibian, which can reach up to 100mph on land, uses a jet to propel it through water at speeds of over 30mph.

It takes about 10 seconds for the car's wheels to retract, the power to switch and the boat to take off, says Gibbs Technologies, the company behind the car.

15. I like it.
But the US $250,000 is out of my price range. Besides, the water in Texas lakes and rivers is so polluted, you can drive your car on top of them now! ;-)

21. I saw that in the Globe this morning
Pretty cool, no?

We went to the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1985. It was wild! Saw the Porsche 959. They had a few of them and one completely cut in half. That was wicked cool!

But I like that Toyota. Reminds me of the race cars from the 50s.
