19. Back when I was at Yale

some of my buddies started their own secret society. It was called "Brick & Henge." It involved building small models of Stonehenge around campus, and worshipping the large stuffed bear they had on display in Peoples' Bank.

Oh no! I've broken the sacred oath!

Really, people, Skull & Bones is not some ancient high order of secret priests of Satan. It's a bunch of very rich and well-connected people who like to get together and do silly rituals and put money in each others' pockets.

There are a lot of other secret societies at Yale which don't figure that largely in the public imagination--Wolf's Head, Scroll & Key, etc. I'm sure they were fun for the people who were in them; the rest of us never gave a shit.

There's enough REAL evil out there, we don't ahve to worry about a bunch of kids playing dress-up, which is basically what these secret societies are.
