When you are President, and you get a gift, it isn't really yours, and if you want to keep it, you have to buy it from the government. If you are a candidate, though, I wonder what rules apply?

I heard last night on CNN that he had bought a hunting rifle while in Ohio.

He had to have it arranged to be shipped to a MA dealer and do is background check there.

Fed law keeps him from taking possesion in a state other than that of residence.
