I like the wordplay ones.

And "knob" - properly spelled in this context as "nob" - I wouldn't use so much. The implication is somebody who means well but screws up.

When wishing to imply an uncaring screw-up, which I think is more on the mark, you'd go for either "tosser" or "twat", depending on the desired offense level.
