but, it won't be the same as seeing them in high school at seedy clubs. Nothing can replace the teenage angst along with seminal punk rock. Now I'm older, can't stay up that late, and don't have the punk look anymore. Though I'm still rebeling!

Seth owns the rights to the name, as I understand, but with that protracted legal can of worms who knows what the whole story is. Well, its sad, that can safely be said.

Spinal tap's story pretty much parallels the story of my own band. We're still playing after 41 years but probably at the level where ST ended up. Our leader still thinks we're making the big-time when we get the same scale we got for playing "shot'n' a beer" places 20 years ago. He won't take a break or get off the stage if there's one person clapping out there. Toward the end of our two-hour sets I can see there're a lot people who would like to get up and leave but they're too polite. When we finally quit it's like a fire drill.

I loaned our "fearless one" a copy of Spinal Tap once and he didn't get it. Yeah, I'd like to see Spinal Tap reunited for at least one more road trip.

it basically said, fuck off if you have an attitude about Tommy playing bass for GnR. He probably made more in the time playing for them than in his entire 'mats career combined. He was, I believe, the youngest singer songwriter ever inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame and he was pretty much scraping by without the GnR gig. Unlike a lof of us who went on and got "normal" lives, Tommy stuck it out in rock and roll and the return is that he has to tour with GnR to "cash in"
