game 7 predictions - post em here
yes, another sox/yanks thread.

my prediction:

petey comes out of the pen for middLe reLief (he stayed behind in boston to work out for that purpose).

tito puLLs him in the 8th before history repeats itseLf.

a-rod embarrasses himseLf and the team again. how? not sure, but maybe he'LL get his face in front of varitek's gLove again.

1. Now listen up....
When the Red Sox were down 3-0 in games, and 2-0 in the 5th inning of the 4th game, I posted this on DU (look it up): "The Red Sox will win this and the next three and David Ortiz will be the MVP, winning all four games almost singlehandedly."

Well, I'll amend that to "three games singlehandedly" (since he already won two of them). And Schilling might be co-MVP.

But either way --- RED SOX WIN! RED SOX WIN!

Yeah, maybe a pitching snafu. Maybe they'll leave shilling in too long.

The team that scores more "runs" will win. Absolutely. I would bet the mortgage money on it.

5. Sox will win, in a complete blowout, rapidly followed by...
...a rip in the Space Time Continuum forming and all reality getting sucked into it, thus ending the little experiment we call the Universe. :)

10. the manner in which the Sox came back will make the loss of Game 7 . . .
all the more heartbreaking for their fans . . . the curse lives, the Yankees own October, their bats are overdue, and they'll win it tonight . . . undoubtedly in extra innings, on a home run by one of the "lesser" players . . . Tony "Fucking" Clark? . . . Miguel "Fucking" Cairo? . . . John "Fucking" Flaherty? . . . stay tuned . . .

and if I'm wrong, I'll tip my hat to the Sox and support them wholeheartedly in the World Series . . .

we can pack it in and go home now.

the sox had tony cLark for a year - he sucked big time. then he goes to the yankees, and stiLL sucks, but manages to hit a few dingers whenever in boston.

sox had fLaherty too - great guy. reaL cLass. he's no a-rod.

19. It won't be close tonight.
I can't figure who will win, yet, but it will be a blowout.

I had this same feeling when Bernie Williams was up in the 7th - I thought - he's going to hit a home run - Dammit - he did!

24. Yanks 5-3
in regulation. Boston takes a 3-0 into the bottom of the seventh, the Yanks tie it in the eighth and win on a bases-loaded ground-rule double in the ninth

27. yes - but this is for the home team onLy
waLk-off "anything besides a home run" onLy counts 1 run.

onLy the home team can have a waLk-off hit/waLk/baLk since they wiLL aLways bat Last.

Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 01:44 PM by Droopy
I'll guess that this game is going to be a close one and very possibly another extra innings game. I think it will be a classic game to cap off a classic series.

Edit: Sorry, Alberto. I meant to reply in response to the original poster.
