1. What a shocker....

I found out all the news about Johnny Cash and John Ritter here, then checked out the news reports. :(

It's so sad particularly because they both were so young. (at least to me!) :( Very sad.

that John Ritters dad was Tex Ritter, a country singing star back in the 1950s?

Does anyone remember John when he was on the Waltons? I vaguely remember him on a MASH episode as well.

6. John Ritter has a recurring role on The Waltons. He took over as the

local Baptist minister. (Cleavon Little had the role originally).

And John Ritter also played a memorable role as a minister who married Ted Baxter and Georgette on The Mary Tyler Moore Show when he arrives at Mary's apartment still dressed in tennis whites from a game from which he rushed to do the ceremony.

I remember being mesmerized by his talent, affability, and integrity during the early 70's. He was hard to ignore.

I'll miss him.

3. I'm so sad.. he was such a part of my generation

I was SHOCKED when I heard this and so sad about it. He was such a part of me growing up while watching him on TV
