Can we discuss the "F" word?
I mean FARTING. Don't you hate it when your relationship has aged to the point that your partner feels he or she can fart in front of you with impunity?

I really HATE to hear someone fart. I believe, if at all possible, farting should done in private.

My girlfriend thinks I'm weird because I have this "thing" about farting.

Maybe I am meant to live alone.

1. Would you be equally offended if your lover
Edited on Sun Oct-24-04 03:52 PM by DS1
reached into the back of their pants and spread their asscheeks in order to suppress the clapping sound and instead let a waft of warm fart pass uninhibited?

I suppose the question is, what offends you most?

The noise?
The smell?
The concept of the insides of someone's ass hitting your nostrils and working their way down into your lungs?

2. I agree, There is an old saying that -
the honeymoon is over the first time someone farts in bed. That is the same for any relationship.

3. I tend to agree.

Sometimes things happen (in that case, say "excuse me"), but I prefer certain functions to be done in the bathroom (and privately) even within a relationship. To me, it's about simple, human courtesy.

5. I agree whole-heartedly
I have a real problem with people making their bodily functions a public spectacle too.

Farting is like eating, it should be done in private, with the drapes drawn.... wait, I meant whacking off.

10. I kind of view it differently
Though I can understand your viewpoint, I kind of appreciate the fact that we can be ourselves around each other. We don't just let 'em rip indiscriminately but we don't worry too much about it either. We try not to offend and we say "excuse me" and when we're out in public, we're on our best behavior but, damn it, if I can't relax and fart in my own home, where the hell can I?
