2. Man, that was awesome!
Best Star Spangled Banner rendition I've ever seen at a baseball game.

3. That really touched me.
Of course I love him anyhow, but done softly, sweetly, without wailing ten notes for every one.

6. Please be advised:
The "Sweet Baby James" he refers to in the song is his nephew... not himself. He has never owned that nickname.

11. Didn't mean to be a dick about it.
He told an incredibly sweet story about the song on Howard's show... his reconciliation with his brother after the birth of Sweet Baby James, and all... I just thought it was pertinent to note that he was not singing about himself.

For that matter, "Billy the Kid" is NOT Billy Joel singing about himself... he's singing about a friend whose name was also Billy.... in addition to singing about William Bonney, of course.

12. You weren't a dick
Actually I know it's an album title, I think the media has used it so much referring to him that it stuck in my head. Is he Mud Slide Slim? :)

14. Is he the dude who sang the song while Homer was an astronaut?
If so, I like him.

(Haha, how sad that the only way I know him is via The Simpsons.)
