What song reminds you of what person?
"made the bus in seconds flat.......found my way upstairs and had a smoke, and somebody spoke and I went into a dream". AAAAA --AAA--AAA---AAAAAAAAA........... :D

The Beatles' DAY IN THE LIFE always reminds me of my beloved English grandfather. As a child I used to love to ride on the double-decker buses with him because he smoked so we had to go upstairs. My grandmum didn't smoke, said "only riff-raff" went upstairs (hello!) so she made me ride first floor with her. :o

1. "I Only Want to Be With You" Hootie and the Blowfish reminds me
of my husband, while he says the whole of Kathy Mattea's work always makes hime think of me. "I Hope You Had the Time of Your Life" and "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" remind me of my Father In Law. "The Boxer" Simon and Garfunkel reminds me of a boyfriend of mine who died while we were in high school. And last but not least, "Brown Eyed Girl" belongs to my baby girl. "A New Day" reminds me of my much longed for miracle baby boy...even though I'm not a Celin fan that song breaks me up everytime I hear it.

Okay, I'll stop now. ;)

2. My Girl is my Dad (he used to sing it to me) My baby Girl's song is
"Lightening Crashes" by Live. My Boy's song is "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. My Great Aunt's song is "Name" by the GooGoo Dolls. I seem to associate people to music, so I have several. The Song I equate to my Mom Is "beautiful" by Christina Aguillera... Although I can't stand Aguillera, the lyrics to that song almost perfectly fit how I feel about my Mom. My Uncle's song is "Ride On" by ACDC.

3. as a GI brat, I associate music with time
name a year of my childhood and I have to really think about where I was and what I was doing, but a song can come on the radio and instantly without much thought I'm right back there.

5. You say it best when you say nothing at all
A Keith Whitely song redone by Allison Crouch; a beautiful love song which always brings my wife to mind.

Old Mister Webster could never define
What's being said between your heart and mine
A touch of your hand and you'll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all

7. Everything by Pink Floyd
I can't forget Pink Floyd. Every song on The Wall and other preceding records reminds me of my Dad when I was a little girl. He was and remains an old hippie and a bodybuilder, and he would lift weights downstairs while I jumped on the mini trampoline next to him, and there he would teach me how to work out and use the machines. Comfortably Numb would be blasting on the speakers, so loud that the glasses in the bar down the hall would rattle. Once or twice the neurotic Nam vet next door called the cops.

You shouldn't even get me started on a question like this, I could go on forever...

8. oh, the songs that remind me of my dad
I could go on too - he had hundreds of hundreds of 45s, mostly country but some Beatles, Rolling Stones, Animals, Roy Orbison, Otis Redding......I think it's the Johnny Cash ones that really remind me of him the most. My dad has been gone a long time now.

18. I Can't Fight this Feeling by REO Speedwagon
A stupid song that reminds me of a girl named Gloria in my high school math class. The teacher hated me and my mother was going to move me into another class when I heard Gloria saying to a friend that she thought I was "cute".
I never spoke to her, too shy, so I just went to class every day and stared at her. Teacher still hated me and I flunked the class because I wouldn't do the homework. Aaaah...to be young and stupid once again.
The song was popular at the time (we had a bus driver who played the radio for us) so whenever I heard, as now, I would think of her. Who would ever have thought that good old sarcastic me was a romantic, huh?
Hopefully, not as stupid now as I was then. Sill shy though

19. "Black Diamond" by Kiss-
Reminds me of this kid who lived in the dorm room across from me in college. Apparently his parents conceived him after a Kiss concert, and the last song they played that night was "Black Diamond." And he actually bragged about this story...
