Songs to recomend to young DUers
Okay, we are all aware of the sad sad state of music these days. So if you have a song to suggest to the poor unfortunates that have grown up in a time after that of good tunes. Post it. Ièll start

As tears go by - the rolling stones
Combination of the two - Big brother and the holding company
Regret - New order

1. whats your song for me
Edited on Sat Sep-13-03 03:27 PM by JohnKleeb
I probably have a bunch
I know one thats good for one of my views
Bloody Sunday

Yes...

I can't believe the news today
Oh, I can't close my eyes
And make it go away
How long...
How long must we sing this song
How long, how long...
'cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...

Broken bottles under children's feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I won't heed the battle call
It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall

Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday

And the battle's just begun
There's many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters
Torn apart

Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday

How long...
How long must we sing this song
How long, how long...
'cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...tonight...

Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Wipe the tears from your eyes
Wipe your tears away
Oh, wipe your tears away
Oh, wipe your tears away
(Sunday, Bloody Sunday)
Oh, wipe your blood shot eyes
(Sunday, Bloody Sunday)

Sunday, Bloody Sunday (Sunday, Bloody Sunday)
Sunday, Bloody Sunday (Sunday, Bloody Sunday)

And it's true we are immune
When fact is fiction and TV reality
And today the millions cry
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die

(Sunday, Bloody Sunday)

The real battle just begun
To claim the victory Jesus won
On...

Sunday Bloody Sunday
Sunday Bloody Sunday...

5. Its called Bloody Sunday
Get it at Amazon.com, come we shall march to London to ask what the fuck were you thinking? I dont like how people characterize it only as a religious conflict, Parnell was a protestant, Wolftone ?????, an early nationalist was, and so was Ivan Cooper the man who was a leader of the Derry peace rally that became bloody sunday.

7. the British?
You know what also makes me wonder, have you heard of Reverend Ian Paisley, he is I think hes still living one big Protestant and Unionist and Anti Catholic leader. He in the 60's got invited to Bob Jones University. Thats this really bigoted University in South Carolina. Ted Kennedy and Tip O'Neill didnt like him one bit. I would like to get a celtic cross tattoo lol if I liked tattoos I would get it, maybe as a chain I might wear it, but the only jewerly I wear is my watch.

8. Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth
I never thought you'd be a junkie
Because heroin is so passe.
But today,
If you think that I don't know
About depression and
Emotional pain,
You're insane, or you're
A fool who hasn't paid attention
To a word that I say.

In a way, I can't
Help but feel responsible.
I always knew that you were insane
With your pain.
But I never thought you'd be a junkie
Because heroin is so passe
Nowaday
You never thought you'd get addicted,
Just be cooler in an obvious way.
I could say, shouldn't you have got
A couple peircings and decided
Maybe that you were gay.
In a way
I can't help but feel responsible,
I always knew that you were insane
With you pain

But I never thought you'd be a junkie
Because heroin is so passe
