9. I think the collective four should have called it a day after Alive II.

And let us all remember fondly what a phenomenon they were. Instead, we're reminded that they are (and always have been) a bunch of money-grubbing corporate whores.

ON EDIT- I also rue the day I found out Alive was pretty much a studio album with crowd noise. I enjoyed the delusion that they were just a kick-ass live band much more.

And for years I grouped that with the greatest live albums of all time, putting it between "Frampton Comes Alive" and "On Your Feet or On Your Knees"?!?!?!?!?!

14. Yep...there was a VH1 special they did a few years back.

SOME of it was live. They took the best performances from shows in Cleveland and Detroit (as well as a couple other gigs), did a load of studio touchups and added layers of crowd noise to make it sound like they had a huge audience (remember, they were still relative unkowns at the time). I was furious when I found out.
