Does anyone know how I can track the amount downloaded by my computer?

I want to know how much I've downloaded, even into the temporary file. My internet provider seems to think I'm downloading too much, and I want to be able to track it myself. Any suggestions?

Every screen refresh downloads info.

Images, etc. My provider says I use too much bandwith because I download too much. This includes watching movies, images on websites, everything. I want to track it.

2. Clear history, temporary files off your hard drive.

And get a spyware killer. You could delete all the old cookies if you want to get drastic.

Does running the Maint. Wizard do those things?

then "Internet Options," both on the General tab.

7. Just hold your cursor over the connection icon

It will tell you bytes received and sent during any particular online session.

8. Do you mean the Internet Exporer icon or the icon for my provider?

And holding my cursor over either gives me any information other than the name of the program.

14. Update on these programs

Tried to run Bandwidth Monitor and it said I was missing a dll and I didn't feel like looking for it so I installed Down2Home. Seems to work pretty good. You can monitor in real time and track by day, week, month or year plus your average speed. Doesn't seem to use too many system resources either. I give it a thunmbs up.
