5. IT'S NOT OVER, PEOPLE!
Please don't cry. Do not send those negative messages out. It WILL turn around.

Just so you know, I had my crying bout an hour or so ago and got into a huge fight with my hubby. We both voted for Kerry but we handle stress differently. He chooses to vote then ignore and I want to know everything up to the minute. I don't know why I'm saying all of this.
I guess, it's just - I'm with you. I understand but don't give up!!!!!

7. The plan if Kerry loses:
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 01:11 AM by TXlib
Bush, with (most likely) an even more republican congress, will pack the courts with social conservatives. The republicans will concentrate their effort to impose a tyranny of the majority. There will be an outright ban on stem cell research. RvW will have a significant chance of being overturned. The tax cuts will be made permanent, and even deeper. Corporate interests will have exclusive say in shaping national health and energy policy.

Unfettered by the prospect of re-election, the Bush government will take the gloves off wrt the war on terror. We will further alienate our traditional allies. Expect military operations against Iran and Syria.

If Bush gains another four years, we can expect less understanding from foreigners who previously said, "Well, Bush didn't really win in 2000... they hijacked America." Now they'll say, "You knowingly and willingly elected this loon a second time, knowing full well what he did, and what he will do. You bear the full responsibility for what he does in the next four years!"

By the time Bush is done, we will be a second-rate nation, riddled with corruption.

But all is not lost. There's congressional mid-term elections in 2006, and the next presidential election in 2008.

I doubt anything will be done that can't be un-done.

8. yeah but
If everything plays out the way it's looking, the damage will be truly irreversible. Every other lunatic running the show had the Russians to deal with. Now, all bets are off the table.

Sorry.

9. The American people are dumber than I thought.
But I still have hope that Kerry takes Ohio.
