1. Davis
This gives him six months to raise his approval ratings. Plus, if the vote is held in March, it will take place on the date of the Democratic presidential primary.

2. If this delay sticks, Cruz is going to look bad with his decision to not..
support the recall anymore. Originally Cruz campaigned to vote "NO" on the recall and then selected Bustamente as the alternative. But just last week Cruz decided to drop that campaign and go all out for Gray Davis' job. But now that Clinton has come into the picture AND there is a six month delay, I really do see Gray Davis pulling this one out.

12. Oh, that is really good news!
I think it also gives time to educate the voters on how to weed thru the field of candidates on the ballot and the 2-step response vote to the Recall.

3. Texas first, Davis a close second
Even though Davis' approval rating couldn't get much lower than it was, this has for months taken the spotlight off the embarassment that is the Texas GOP. They have their damn quorom (sp?) now and they can't agree on which redistricting map they want to use.

4. Hurts Arnold
His plan to get to the election without saying anything substantial (ala GWB) just got more difficult.

6. Davis !!
This will help Davis. The movement in the polls is now in his favor. Arnold over and over has proven he knows NOTHING about running the state and Davis is kicking ass!

8. If the recall can be tied into the 3/2/04 primary election, that's good!
More Democrats will be at the polls, and the Democratic presidential candidates will *have* to address the recall as they campaign in CA!

14. Anyone but Ahnuld...
His campaign was based entirely on "impulse buying" -- basically, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool to have an action hero as Governor?" If they could see it as fun or as a joke, the Groping Austrian Beefcake would have a good chance. If people actually spend some time thinking about the situation, they'll realize that he's completely unqualified for the job. And, guess what? They'll now have an additional six months to think. Not good for the Terminator...
