1. Well, Playboy has gone too far.
I wouldn't even read this magazine if Playboy pays me the equivalent of a Wal-Mart CEO's salary.

46. Well if there are, Playboy will certainly find them.
Twenty bucks says they get less than ten hotties out of the countless thousands who send pictures.

Do you really not have a clue what type of fat and ugly freeper women work there?

29. We don't all live in Hell.
The people working at WalMart are no different from anyone else. They are however working for a company where only 35%-38% of the workers can actually afford their health plan, a company that took out Life Insurance Policies on it's elderly employees and named THEMSELVES as beneficiaries, use very questionable tactics to break unions and is an all around destructive element to other non-monopolistic businesses.

Many of those working there simply don't have any other opportunities either.

Plus they have to (at least they did a decade ago) group sing that god forsaken WalMart song every morning.

There are around 800,000 of these low wage workers in America who need our support.

To take such a snotty attitude toward a natural voting block is absolutely insane IMHO.

34. Thank You!!
Well said, JanMichael!!

I don't work at WalMart and pray I never have to, but I find the use of the words, white trash, to be just as bad as other racial slurs.
I am, however, very low income and often wonder if some DUers would probably think my family is "white trash", just because of our financial situation!?!

I'm a little disappointed...it just doesn't seem very democratic.

42. Bashing low income workers irritates me to no end.
My grandmother, who died at the age of 68 in 1988, worked as a waitress for almost her entire life. White Trash? No. My sharecropper grandfather dies, left her with two children in 1958, and she did what she had to do to keep food on the table.

Was she a farm girl from a dirt poor SW Missouri family? Yes. But what choice did she have in that?

As to you question? Yes, I wouldn't doubt that a few (not that many, just a few) DU'ers would call low income workers White Trash simply because they're low income. It's the American way apparently. Few however would do it in person.

to those who work there is disgusting. Do the rules apply when someone denigrates non-DUers?

On edit: unfortunate typing error.

odds are, there are quite a few beautiful women working there. the working conditions may suck, but some people just have no choice. and it's not cool to say mean things about people who are working sh*tty jobs because they have no choice.

But seriously, this is a complete fetish thing PB is doing... the whole desperate, white trash chick that just wants to get out of her 'dipshit' hometown.

Have any of you *really* taken a close look at most of the women who shop at Walmart? The average one, is a good 50 to 100 pounds over weight, has three chins, and four kids. In addition, they are some of the most "unattractive" (I'm trying to be nice here), women I have ever seen, anywhere, ......and Playboy wants to do a shoot? Bwwaaahahahaha!!

14. They should go to the one by my house
I wonder if they'll pick the fifty-something cashier with the missing and rotting teeth? Or maybe the obese thirty-something who's ass is three times bigger than mine? I worked at Wal-Mart, I shop there and you NEVER see any Playboy material in a blue smock. I have no idea what they are thinking. Although I myself am acceptable looking, I certainly am no 20 year old nymphet (not anymore anyway). Bad place to look for a centerfold.

31. I would agree with you
It's definitely a poke a WalMart's "morality."

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. on Friday said it is rolling out magazine racks that partially cover the pictures and catchy but usually sex-oriented headlines of four women's magazines -- considering them as "provocative."

The move, which will only affect those magazines sold at the check-out racks, comes a month after the world's largest retailer pulled from its shelves three men's magazines known for cover photos of scantily-clad models.

Family friendly Wal-Mart has been bowing to customer complaints on certain items sold in its stores. It has refused to sell certain CD's with explicit lyrics, pulled controversial toys and other products which it felt offended customers.

Guess they won't be carrying this issue of Playboy, either.

far more honorable to pose nekkid in Playboy than to work fully clothed in that pit of unspeakable evil - Walmart. Playboy, it can be aruged, degrades women, yet compensates them well. Walmart degrads humanity and steals their souls, 3 cents on each dollar.

I will never forgive them for ruining so many area small towns.

33. I wouldn't presume to speak for all Walmart employees
I am surprised that you would. I imagine some folks actually aspire to work there. That is their decision - it is not my task to defend them and its not up to you to enable them. I sincerely doubt many employees have any ethical qualms about their employment - I base that on the fact that so many otherwise intelligent folks are willing to sell their souls for the few cents they save by shopping there.

Walmart destroyed my small hometown - wiped out the downtown, taking business from the merchants who had their businesses in the family for 2 and three generations. And that was their business plan. They idd it all over the Midwest. I have no respect for anyone who drove out to the edge of town to take that crappy 32 hour a week no benefit job while watching them destroy the businesses their neighbors created from generations of sweat.

44. Our Wal Mart has some attractive female employees
but more important (to me) is the fact that it has *very* attractive male employees! (not to mention customers)

But seriously people, bashing Wal Mart employees is identical to bashing low-income people. I know a lot of people who work for Wal Mart, and it's a second job for all of them because they have to have it to make ends meet. Don't disrespect hard-working people just because they work for a company you don't like.

Dirk
