Tile & grout folks - I need you again. |

We are in the finishing stages of the gutting and rehabbing our master bath. Whew. I was the tilemaster. I used matte finish, 8"x10" white tile, kinda the Italian feel. It is now time to seal the grout. The grout sealer says to use a mop (for floors I guess) or rag to wipe on the sealer. I kinda thought it was only the grout that needed sealing. Do I seal the face of the tile too? Will it make it shiny (don't want that)?

1. Only the grout needs sealing and it won't make the tile shiny |

2. It will soak into the grout -- which needs sealing because it is porous, |

and will wipe right off the tile, which is non-porous.
Good luck, and congratulations at being at the end of the job!

You will have to reseal every few months. No tile sealer is forever.
