Need help! Phil & Friends CD...

I've been trying for a long while to find a Phil (Lesh) & Friends CD (6-29-01 in Berk.) And every search on Google produces people who only want to trade...well I don't have any unique shows to trade...

Any suggestions?

2. Go to sharingthegroove.org

It is a Deadhead website where they list shows available for download using bit torrent. The shows usually download in the lossless shn (shorten) format.

On sharingthegroove.org you can make a request for a particular show. If it is out there perhaps someone will put it out on bit torrent.

4. Info on bit torrent

It's a peer to peer software used for downloading. Here is some info from the download site...

Bit Torrent is a noncommercial tool for sharing files. It's super easy to use. Downloads are started just by clicking on hyperlinks. Downloaders get pieces of the file from the original server, and from anyone else who is downloading. The more people there are downloading the same thing, the lower the burden on the central server, and the faster everyone's downloads get, due to sharing with each other. The more, the merrier!

Another site for downloading shows is etree.org. Once you have downloaded bit torrent you can sign up for their bit torrent list where they announce when shows are available for downloading.

5. Normally sharingthegroove.org is quick to download...

however there are times when it goes down...probably due to the number of people trying to access the site. It was slow for me tonight as well and I have DSL.

Keep trying though! I need to warn you that in order to post on sharingthegroove.org you will need to register a user name.

6. I'm downloading right now at...

It's a show about five days later (July 4, 2001), songs may be close...but that's the beauty and handicap of the Dead, Phil, etc. they change their sets every night...I'm hoping for the best, that it's close enough...this is heaven since I've been searching for so many months.

How can I thank you for schooling me along...your the best ikojo.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
