Have any of you driven on Krome Avenue? It seems like the middle of nowhere.

Also have any of driven on the Tamiami Trial? It's like nothing is there from the Casino to Naples.

3. Drove part of Tamiami Trail a couple weeks ago

Went out to Shark Valley in Everglades National Park. Spectacular place. But beware the mother alligators defending their newborn. The young were just hatched at the time I was there.

The part of the Tamiami trail I was on was hardly deserted. But then again I'm used to driving through the Mojave Desert and West Texas, so my definition of 'middle of nowhere' is pretty extreme probably.

6. That's the beauty of the Tamiami Trail.
The River of Grass still exists.

7. That must be the part beyond Shark Valley
That's pretty extreme definitely!

To me, what's odd about that road is that it is straight-as-an-arrow. It was an event to hit a turn. I'd be very wary of drivers falling asleep or getting hypnotized into inattention. It is a 2 lane road, after all.

:scared:
