I just received a payment from a patient at work. There was a picture of tiny feet on the check, and the caption "actual foot size of a ten-week old unborn baby". I had to look more closely. YES, VIRGINIA. THERE REALLY IS A WEBSITE THAT SELLS ANTI-ABORTION CHECKS.

Well, what can I say you got to back your beliefs by action and it's true the person that gave you that check probably cares enough to buy the check online, but most likely does not give money to an organization or get involved in the whole abortion, adoption, counciling scenerio. Doesn't even know about the bills that go through congress, isn't up to date on current events...etc

It's nice we have freedom of speech, freedom of religion... but in this case it's more about freedom of capitalism making a buck on someone's beliefs then anything else and that's not that unbelievable.

My pet peave is tolerance. Tolerance implies being tolerated, but just barely. It's a little elitist, a little condescending, I think. I prefer the term "respect." Think about it, wouldn't YOU prefer to be respected, rather than merely tolerated?

My core beliefs include the following:

1)Don't be an ass
2)Take responibility for your actions
3)Work hard, but only enough to support your leisure time. (Most people do just the opposite, and die wishing they had more time to play. I've never heard of anyone dying, and wishing they had just one more week to put in at the office.)
4)Karma is working on it
5)Laugh when ever, and where ever you can.
6)Cry if you have to. You'll feel better afterwards.
7)Sometimes good people can be wrong, and bad people can be right.
8)If you truly believe in something, be willing to fight for it.
9)Leave open spaces.
10)The point of life is to learn how to love.
