Poll question: With Bush in, would you be happy to see the country doing better?

This is a hard one. We all can't stand Bush, but I'm in a situation where I'd be benefitted by things getting better. Plus, it's the compassionate thing. I say yes, but I fully don't expect things to get better (at least for the lower upper class, the middle class, and the poor.)

Of course we'd all like to see the country doing better. But 'with Bush in', that's never going to happen. He is only interested in how well the corporate fatcat cronies of his are doing, not in the well-being of everybody else.

Still, I think the results of the poll are interesting. It reminds me of the phony Reagan era boom - I was glad my family became better off, but I knew things couldn't last.

it depends on the definition of the word better.
It seems to me that BFEE is close to defining the meaning of "is", how 'bout you?

that they aren't better off. I don't think their tricks will work.
