23. That was my grandmas's cure too

When my sister and I were sick and could not go to school, my mom dropped us at my grandparents. She always gave us chicken noodle soup and kool aid too. I don't think kool aid has medicinal properties but we liked it so it was a good way to get lots of fluids in us.

We've gotten slow at work so we had today off (I hope this does not continue because I am not getting paid for this day off). My husband had to do a project for work and is away for the rest of the day. I cannot go anywhere because I lent my car out to a friend since his had a serious problem that he and some other friends are taking care of today. He lives quite a ways away so I cannot go over there either and keep everyone company (I know nothing about car repair.). I think that I am coming down with something as well so maybe I should just rest.

I can barely believe that I've almost got 1000 posts. My husband was suprised when I told him how many I had.

here and flew off the handle. Thought I was wasting my time. Plus I had to get my posting in in one hour increments at the library. Now I can post from the comfort of my own home! Yay!

I used to post on a college forum when I was in college and for about six months after. Unbeknownst to me, he also registered. He replied to some of my friends and gave me advice. From what I've heard about it though, yes. Speaking of movies, my husband and I usually get along well together but sometimes have a fight at the video store about what to see. It just gets ridiculous sometimes. Last night, after about an hour of deliberations, we rented the movie Traffic.

choosing the film? You know, one person chooses, the other has no veto power, and you watch the movie, no questions asked. Next time, the other person chooses. Same thing applies. It might work.

I'll see what he thinks. There was only one movie that he ended up doing something else while I watched it after he decided he didn't like it. Unfortunately, I've fallen asleep during about half of the action movies that I let him get because he really wanted to see them.

26. How varied the landscape it.

I've lived all over Texas. I grew up in the Blackland Prairie with fields of grass and lots of wildflowers adn trees. Very green. Just to the East was the Piney Woods - also lovely and green.

Then I moved to West Texas and loved under the big sky for 4 years. Molly Ivins was right. After you've lived in Lubbock, everywhere else is claustrophobic. :-)

Then I moved to Austin. Lots of rolling hills.

What about you? What do you like about Washington?

28. I love the trees. Millions of 'em. All kinds, but lots of evergreens,

of course. The weather, too. Nice and cool most of the time. Summers not usually too hot (except for this year. Whew! It got hot!), winters not too cold.

I met my wife doing a play for community theater. Richard III, by William Shakespeare. She played Elizabeth, the wife of Edward IV. I played George, Duke of Clarence. I saw her for the first time, with that dazzling smile, and I was just gone. Completely.

I'm not solidly attached at the moment. I can tell you how I met my ex. I was looking for a friend over at his dorm. When I couldn't find him I headed out the back door to go to the deli across the street adn get some cookies. I ran into another friend playing cards on the way out. He asked where I was going and when I told him he and all his buddies chipped in money and told me to grab as many chocolate chip cookies as I could. :-)

When I got back I sat down and they dealt me in. My ex was one of the guys I got introduced to that night. Also met the flirty-boy that night.

Most of the guys I'm playing around with right now I met here in DU. :-)

and money is no object...what would you most want to be doing with your life?

For me, I'd want to be a US Senator. I've always thought that fillibustering thing sounded like fun. ;-)

Seriously though, I'd either want to be an elected official or a high school government teacher. Always wondered if I could instill the love of politics and government into kids.

France, Luxembourg, Italy. Those are some other choices. Offer a positive image of America and Americans to our erstwhile allies again.

Ultimately, I intend to be a Physician's Assistant. I'd like to volunteer for overseas medical missions. Put my liberal credentials to good use.

a drinker. Neither or my parents drink and I never picked up the habit. Most of the time I just drink water.

However, there are some alcoholic drinks I like. I like margaritas and mimosas and hurricanes. My guy best friend has been trying to get me into wine and he found a really nice sparkling white that I liked but don't remember the name of off the top of my head.

That's why I'm staying out of GD. The spew there is almost as bad as over at Freep. I wouldn't be such a fan of the military guy, despite my own military background, if he wasn't so obviously an intellectual. He's not hiding the fact that he is highly educated, and isn't afraid to use it. I know they are both moderates, but I'm okay with that. There IS no perfect liberal candidate, and I just want B*sh out so bad!

I liked Kerry because of his unassailable record in Vietnam, but he fell into the 'support the war on terra' trap, and it seems difficult to get a straight answer out of him.

Dennis Kucinich for President is the impossible dream, and I'm not quixotic enough to suppose he'd actually get elected, much less nominated.

I think a Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean ticket would bitch-slap B*sh and his cronies all the way back to Crawford.

I wouldn't have taken an ill-advised swing at a guy in my sixth grade gym class. He didn't swing back, but he and all of his friends made me regret it every day after school for the rest of the year. Branded me as the school punching bag for everyone.

Fireman, astronaut (yeah, me too. I'm old enough to remember the last of the Apollo moon missions, and the Apollo-Soyuz flight. I was a huge astronaut fan) I remember wanting to be a Marine. I told my Army officer father, and he went ballistic, telling me unpleasant stories of things he saw the Marines doing in Vietnam. Fixed me, but good. I went into the Army like he did.
