1. That is an amazing list
Thanks, but the first link would not work for me. The second link had the titles of songs that I did not even realize, or remember, that Foster had written. It made me nostalgic for a time I never knew. :)

3. I bit more morbid on the tune names than I would have suspected
Lot's of dying tunes...of course, I'm sure the Civil War would have influenced his music..

5. Also the death rate from "Consumption" was extraordinarily high
in the USA. Funerals were a bigger part of everyday life at that time.

7. I have been an antique and vintage sheet music dealer for...
...about six years, after many years of loving American song. Many, many pieces I would rather have kept than sell, but I do need to pay the bills.
