1. Sobriety is a terrible thing.............

Drinking Clear American Black Cherry and Water Sparkling Favored Beverage with All Natural Flavors haswarped my appreciation for music, I guess.

That and the fact that I can't find my goddam headphones are putting a major league crimp in my music listening habits.

But, please, don't think for a second I've stopped the Friday night gigs permanently. In fact, I'm on a Buddy Bolden Blues search tonight...got Jim Kweskin, got the Dukes of Dixieland, got Jelly Roll Morton's ...but I must find Wynton Marsalis's version ...

BTW, I still owe you that "Jazz at the New School"....gotta get some more music CD's.

2. Dukes of Dixieland! Sounds fab!

I am actually listening to old master tapes of my uncle's tonight..lots of good jazz on those and Rosemary Clooney and Ed Aames singing all sorts of be-bop shit that never got released...my aunt died earlier this week and my cousin and I are talking about digitizing some of this and getting a CD out there.
