Best Phillip K. Dick book?

Hey all

I have been wanting to read some Phillip Dick for some time now and was wondering if anyone here can let me know which one I should start with.

I know that "Do Anroids Dream of Electic Sheep (Bladerunner)" is a obvious choice, but I would like to hear more about his other books.

I would like something that takes a critical look at an aspect of society

(1984, Brave New World, Handmaids Tale, etc..)

Someone told me that he wrote alot of books that were critical of society, but they did not know which one

3. Radio Free Albemuth is a good place to start

In Radio Free Albemuth, as in the rest of the VALIS series, a divine satellite helps topple President Nixon through subliminal Gnostic messages to Dick and others. Best thing is, it's entirely unclear whether this series is "fiction" in the strictest sense of the word...

11. I heartily recommend Radio Free Albemuth

Nice whirlwind tour of the VALIS series and its ideas, plus it was one of more eerily prophetic novels I've ever read. It's a must for anyone wanting to get to know PKD.

4. Man in the High Castle

I just read it recently, outstanding piece of work.

Takes place in a world of the early 1960s in which Germany and Japan had won WWII and US is an occupied country (actually no longer exists as such).

I haven't read all his stuff - a lot of the short stories are good too.

Androids dream isnt really that great, and its far from the movie. I read the book in an afternoon
