Someone did a drive-by kitten drop in front of my son's friend's house.
:grr:What the hell is wrong with people???:grr:
Beyond that- Of course his family can't keep it. They have a cat-hating dog.
So, at about 10:30 last night, my son called me and after a lot of cajoling and after DH had retired to our bedroom, Jillian entered our lives. (at least temporarily- I hope we can find someone who will give her a good home)
She's now very contentedly residing, behind closed door, in our 16 year old's room. #1. until she's vet checked #2. until I figure out how to break it to DH.
Thought he might notice the kitten paw playfully poking out from under the door this morning- and Lily and Marvin on the outside, playing with the 'now you see it - now you don't' paw. But he didn't.
The poor man is going to FREAK OUT.
Did I mention we already have OshKosh, Lily and Marvin? (cats) Did I mention we already have Andy, Woobie and D'Ogee? (dogs) Did I mention we already have Pixie and Dixie? (mice, of course) Did I mention we already have Mango? (blue and gold macaw) Did I mention we already have Buc? (beta fish) Did I mention our (about twice a month) trip to the pet store for food, toys, accessories and treats? (Yesterday's bill - $85.00) Did I mention the upcoming vet app't for Lily and Marvin? (5 months old, time to spay and neuter) Did I mention DH has an extreme allergy to cats?
Help me here, please.
How do I break this to him?
Officially changing my name to toast.
