It's 10 minutes from what people think of as Venice. I'm going to go to Vicenza as well, so staying right in Venice is not necessarily my goal, as I'll be hopping around the Venetian Plateau with Venice Mestre as my base.
Should I book something now?
Should I just get off the train and find a place near the station?
Think I'll find something easy that way?
