Well power is back on as of last night. It was pretty cool listening to the call in shows but when Rush came on that was too much.
HUGE trees are down 3 blocks from here on Richmond's historic Monument Avenue. Four feet in diameter, roots and everything came up.
I have to do now. My best friend (from little league football days)... well his Mom lost the house on Thursday. Two garages are gone, the mud level in the house is at about 3 feet, his brother's Craftsman tool 6 foot tool chest was half way up the ~150 yard driveway (REALLY on the water), half of the pier is gone but HEY they have a 24 foot power boat sitting on the end of it now...........they are going to bulldoze the thing. His dad died earlier this year and was an engineer for the Navy.
One of my other best friends in Williamsburg called us last night on his fruitless search for ice. No word from our bud in Poquoson.
BTW-frozen peas are a great replacement for ice, but then you have to eat all those peas.
