Are you ready for Chrismukkah ?!??!

What exactly is Chrismukkah?
Chrismukkah is a hybrid holiday, a gumbo of favorite traditions from both Hanukkah and Christmas. Chrismukkah is celebrated by intermarried couples, interfaith families with both Jewish and Christian members, people with partial Jewish heritage... or anyone else who feels like it. Chrismukah is a festive celebration of diversity - a fresh way to describe how millions of us already experience our Merry Mishmash of a holiday. The most recent UJC survey counted 5.2 million Jewish people in America. It found that of those who were married, nearly 1/3rd had wed non-Jews. Further, nearly half who have tied the knot within the past 5 years, had married non-Jewish spouses. For more details, here's a copy of the latest Chrismukkah press release.

Only 8 shopping days left until Chrismukkah! Sundown Dec 7 thru Dec 25.

I get together with a Jewish friend and celebrate this every year. We usually do it New Year's Eve but it sure is nice to have a name for it! Cute cards too!

7. Sure, it's a mitzvah
We celebrate it. I've gotten good at making potato pancakes. We also celebrate PassEaster.

Remember, Christianity started out as a weird and persecuted Jewish cult........
