Three Hispanic men are repairing my kitchen floor this week. Every time my cat hears them talking, he fuzzes up and hides in the closet.

My now-departed cat was the same way.

Years ago, I used to work for a major credit-card company, taking phone calls in the fraud department.
I was once on the phone with a cardmember and I was helping him sort out his charges. He complained that his cat kept laying on his statement that he was trying to read. Then, abruptly, he was disconnected. I KNEW, I just KNEW that the cat had hung up the phone on him!
A few minutes later, just by coincidence, the guy got me back on the line (he could have gotten any one of the 50 or so of us that were there) and sure enough!! His cat had hung up the phone!!

Bailey (alpha male) is pretty normal but Maddie (beta female) actually gets up on Bailey and humps him. They actually take turns and it is just a bit embarassing when company is over.

Perhaps it's time for a rainbow dog collar....?

17. I had a dog who detested men

to the point that we had to find another family for her....a divorced woman with two daughters. And we told her all about Abby's apparent hatred for men. When my husband would even take a step toward me, Abby would stand up, her fur would bristle, and she'd growl at him and bare her teeth. We adopted her but I think her previous owner (a guy) beat her or something.

Our cat is a one dog cat, and he is umm... in a small white box tied with blue ribbon on the shelf above my computer. We are beginning to look for a new friend for her, perhaps a Saint Bernard. Her old, good friend was a part golden retriever/part Newfoundland. Sadly missed, he will not be replaced, but new friends may be found, hey?
