Can't help it. Buddy gave me fresh elk loin, kilt it hisself only Monday.
I'll be the guy running full tilt to and from the grill, through a foot of fresh snow, befuddling the neighbors. :P

a friend used to live in MT and i visited most winters through the 90s. we get a bunch of folks together and stay at Chico Hotspring Lodge in Pray about 25 miles north of the Gardiner entrance to Yellowstone.
Snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the park and of course -20F swimming in the Gardinder River near Mammoth Hotsprings where springs dump into the river. Super times. I miss going there.

11. A driving rain would do it... |
|
Or at least force the relocation of the grill to inside the garage...

7. it's a couple of degrees below over in northern Scotland |
|
right now. We've had 24 below and that is COLD but last time it went that low was 1982.
The elk sounds yummy...I had venison casserole a few days ago. Don't shoot these days due to lack of time but the meat was taken from deer shot in one of the local glens. Our local butcher stocks local game.

Although it's only about 40 degrees here, so I don't expect any macho medals (or frozen nads) for it.
The grill should keep you warm, just don't fry your fingers.
