Where does one buy a pipe...

I live in a town with several. Look in the yellow pages under "tobacco" (yes, I realize that's not what you're going to use the pipe for). They're should be something listed. Keep an eye open for keywords like "alternative gifts".

failing that go to your local convenience store, buy some papers & learn to roll.

on edit - if that's the case, stick a pin through a piece of stiff cardboard. Put a chunk on end of pin. Light it. Put a glass over the whole thing, let it fill with smoke. Lift glass, breathe deep.

or a tobacco shop and get a corncob pipe. Works great, holds a lot and is cheap. Also you can puff on it in your car and no one will think anything of it. :smoke:

I didn't know that it's hard to buy ..uhmm..."equipment". My first thought reading about the emergence of those "bars" where folks smoke tobacco with hukahs was that it should mean that utensils would be more readily-availble, if high-end (so to speak).

32. Depends on where you live...

If you don't have access to a headshop and you don't wanna roll, I'd go through the internet. Best if you can ship to a buddy's house (because thats how paranoid we are) but personally, I'd ship a pipe to myself.

I have a corncob pipe as mentioned above but the bowl is huge so it's usefulness will depend on the quality of what you are buying. Lighting a little nug of BC's finest deep in that cavern of a pipe is a biotch.

As for selecting a good pipe, may I recommend a few things?

If you have cash (doubtful if you are smoking from a punctured can), I would suggest the precision crafted, all-glass Roor. There are now copies around that are just as good (IMO) but these pipes are the Rolls-Royces of smoking. Easy to clean, wonderful to use, and German engineered.

If you are concerned about your lungs looking like the chamber of a dirty bong, go with a vaporizer. Vapor Brothers makes a nice one although it is a bit pricey also. This will let you get those tasty little crystals and be smoke free. I love them.

If you are going cheap, just go with an acrylic. If this will be your only device, I recommend one without a pinch or anything fancy as they are much easier to clean. Go at least 11 inches for an "adult" sized hit and buy a bottle brush and some simple green to keep her nice.

If you will be smoking in public, or "stealth-piping", there are small wooden pipes with tight swivel-top lids that allow you to take a hit, close the top and preserve whats left, and safely put it in your pocket. They run about 20 bucks and are easy to keep nice with standard pipe cleaners.

All of these can be found on the net. If it is not practical to send them to your house, I would take a day trip to the nearest big city and set yourself up nice.

The can thing is for the birds...at least make the plastic honey bear bong if you gotta go "ghetto-style" for a while.

Now hit it.
