1. I thought "wow that was fast"

because I just posted a couple lines of one of my poems. So I click on the thread and once again find out that it is not about me.
Boooooring.
Pay attention to what matters here, or at least one of the top three - me, myself and I.
I am waiting patiently for the "congratulations Jafap - 500 posts!!!" Let's get this party started. How about with a depressing poem?

What is it good for?

the king is a fink
and so is the junta
so you boys must fight
even if you don't want ta
so kill for your country
it's all self defense
and if you don't see why
then you must be dense
we fight to determine
who gets to rule
and if you think one can
then you are a fool
for a king has no might
though he rants and he shrugs
lest his words be done
by obedient thugs
but many there are
who will kill for gain
not minding who
they cause to feel pain
but we make war
to keep thugs out of power
and if you buy that
you've the brains of a flower
for the other side fights
for the very same cause
and our victory
changes no laws
for one law always
mankind will haunt
that people will kill
to get what they want

The really depressing thing is that this "poet" - a much younger me (say 1983) - tries to rhyme "junta" with "want ta".
