...I know it can put the wind up you as well.
I had my car broken into about six months ago. The lock on the passenger side front is very hard to use now. My mum is forever saying how hard it is.
Funny thing was NOTHING was taken from my car. I had change sitting in the console, still there, I had a pack of smokes sitting on the console, they were still there, I had my cell phone sitting there (I forgot to bring it in with me) that was still there.
Then about three weeks later, we went away for the weekend to visit my sister in a small country town, about four hours away from here. When we got back I went to unlock the front door, and low and behold I didn't even have to turn the key, the door just opened on its own.
I walked in side very hesitant and looked around to make sure my TV, VCR, and DVD player were still all there, they were. My mum walked in saw the look on my face and asked what was the matter, so I told her about the door.
With that we started looking around at everything. This person who broke in had taken a shower and left a wet towel on my bedroom floor, they had gone through all our personal papers, had made cups of tea, watched DVDs, and gone through my drawers.
I didn't notice it then, but a few days later I was putting laundry away in my drawers and noticed something odd. Side note: I wear thong underwear, and like every smart femme I keep one pair aside for special occasions. This one pair were like new. But when I was looking through my drawer I noticed something didn't look about them, so I pulled them out, and low and behold they had been shredded! I mean there was HUGE holes in my thong. I showed my mum and said that is it, I threw that pair out and took every pair out of my drawer and rewashed the lot.
Funny thing about the house break in was, again NOTHING was taken. I had change in my bedroom, it was all still there. I had my digital camera sitting on my bookshelf, that was still there.
Very weird time indeed. I am still thankful Sapph always taught me to hide my laptop if we were going away and not taking the puters with us. I did that this trip, and it was still where I left it when I got back. All trips I have taken after that, I have taken the laptop with me. Because that is the way Sapph and I communicate most with, I can't afford to have anything happen to it.
