The IPowerweb Mind Fuck- Update and a question for the DU techies

So I was all set to reinstall about an hour ago, when I get an e-mail from IPowerweb, saying essentially that they were wrong.... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REINSTALL. :wtf:

Now I'm in a live chat with this guy who has no idea what I'm talking about and has to leave me hanging while he researches the issue. I think it's time to cut my losses and go elsewhere. :grr:

For any of you techie DU'ers who might read this.... might it be possible to restore my backup to a brand new server? I just hate to lose it all, but I wonder about the size of the backup file and whether it would even be possible. I mean, it looks good on paper, but would it really work?
