Ever use Google as a spell checker?

I will on some obscure words and then I'll get 50 or so results for thr word spelled wrong but good ole google :

But if I'm doing a search anyway and have to spell something I usually try it on Google first.

7. I use word all the time as a spell checker for emailing

8. I use Netscape - It has it's own spell check.

9. Here's a neat little trick. Try typing in the word you want checked

then type dictionary and hit enter. See what happens. :)

11. I remember once I typed in some words related to web browsers ...

but typed too fast and misspelled it as 'web brower' -- I couldn't believe how many web pages had that misspelling of browser in them.

I just went and ran it, and I noticed it's not quite as bad as it was a few years back, most of the 'Brower' listings are for people with that name, now. Still, if you lock the words "web brower" together and search on it, you'll find that misspelling often enough, even on some university web sites.

12. I just did a search for "Liberty Ship"

...and accidentally misspelled it "librty" and was amazed at what came up.
