15. Who can blame him? I'd be giddy too.

One of my favorite musical experiences ever was watching Bob Dylan and Paul Simon jam for 40 minutes in a sound check and them singing Sounds Of Silence and Ring Of Fire together. It was spellbinding.

Bradley asked him about his parents and growing up in Minnesota ... who cares ... did People Magazine phone in those questions ??

How about asking him about political issues like Vietnam, Nixon, bush etc ... how about asking him about the last election ... how about asking him about his religious attitudes ... how back asking him about the evolution of folk music and who he listens to today ...

now i know why i never watch 60 Minutes ... i thought that interview was pretty bad ...

and Dylan's "darkness"??? the guy is just plain interesting to listen to ... it was kind of sad to hear him say he just can't write like he used to ... i always keep hoping for just one more Dylan classic ...

I am GLAD it steers clear of politics. Politics is bullshit, and Dylan is wise to avoid it these days. Politics is the entertainment branch of industry, and Dylan is smart to have left it behind.

It is precisely that attitude that he SHOULD say something about it or be a 'spokesperson' that drove him into isolation years ago.

As he said, don't follow leaders. Be your OWN spokesperson.

the "just had to know moment" for me was finding out how Dylan's parents felt about his move to NYC ... now i can live out the rest of my days in peace ...

and, btw, Dylan didn't avoid politics; Bradley did ... it seemed to me Bradley had an obligation to ask the question ... if Dylan chose not to respond, then fine ... "come Senators, Congressmen please heed the call" sounds like politics to me ...

and "politics" is bullshit ?? interesting observation on a political website ...

12. He's just so cool.....

Did you see how he was almost breaking himself up so much of the time? He was goofing on Ed Bradley and having fun, Dylan, the old "song and dance man."

His protestations that he didn't write political songs is just another example of him lying to the press. He even admitted he lied to the press, but Bradley wasn't smart enough to ask, "Are you lying to me now?'

I think he just had a contractual obligation, and he had to get it over with. S&S, his publisher, is owned by Viacom, which also owns CBS.

Sixty-three years old, in his black leather jeans and matching jacket. He is SO cool.

And, did you notice, he talks exactly the way he sings? The last words of his sentences were elongated and strangely drawled.

His book, by the way, is terrific. Takes a while to get into the rhythm of what he's written, but, when you do, it's mesmerizing and startlingly clear.

The man who wrote "Blood On The Tracks," the most brilliant album ever.
