He looks like one of those surgeons who looks the part but is an absolute incompetent in the OR.

15. actually he is a transplant surgeon: kidney, heart, liver, etc so he

actually is a very skilled surgeon.

Doesn't make hime any less of a Republican or annoying or irritating,
but if he had to operate on you, you'd have an excellent chance of making it.

Can't say I approve of his politics but ....he comes from a long line of excellent physicians.

His grandfather was my grandfather's doctor and was the best internal medicine physician in Nashville when he was practicing.

He was running for office while I was still reporting and I was assigned to go interview him. My former news editor asked me when I returned what I thought of him. I scrunched my nose up and pretended to gag and said, "That man is the anti-Christ."

My news editor thought I was being silly. My news editor also used to be a Republican until Bush came along.

Well, here it is, six years later, and I just got through spending the weekend with my former news editor and his son (our sons are very close playmates - less than a year apart) and I looked at him and said, "Robert... I was right about Bill Frist." He said, "Yep... hate to admit that I voted for him, but you were right."

I also have some stuff I'm ready to trot out against him should he run for president.
