Just got back from the airport after another wonderful, if short, weekend, and have never known my apartment to feel so utterly, completely empty

it's hard to believe that just a few days ago I was here just like this, just myself and my kitty, and it seemed 'normal'.

Gods, it is so bloody ABnormal that I cannot stand it. Who could have thought that a humble 1-bedroom apartment could contain such a bleak and expansive void? And the little left-over reminders here & there seem to almost make it even more profound...

Yeah it's a pity-post, but my beloved lioness is currently on a plane back to NY and I have no one else to whine to :evilfrown:

My bestest big brother took four days off to come see me. I am spoiled. I grew up with a father and five big brothers who all believe in hugging. :D

Now I live alone, only one brother nearby. Hugs are rarer and rarer. :-(


When I took him to the airport, I was bawling like a baby and didn't know why except I hate being alone. He gave me an extra-big hug and cried a little, too.

especially living alone... I wrapped it around me like a warm snuggly blanket. Now here I am alone and freezing my ass off...

the only thing keeping me sane is knowing that it's not for too much longer, though still much too long :(

All depends on finding a job first... and 30 days is FAR too long. This last time we have only 3 weeks apart when we will spend 2 weeks together over the holidays, and then we see eachother again two weeks after that. At least we're lucky enough to be able to do it as often as we do. And those frequent flyer miles really add up going coast to coast.
