8. I remember packets of coloring

that came with oleo-margarine.
I think it was some wartime FDA law the dairy farmers got passed so that margerine couldn't compete with butter.
The stuff came in a stick that looked like Crisco. You had to soften it and mix the orange dye gel in. It came out canary yellow.
Still tasted pretty much like Crisco.

The first computer I ever saw was in a Wang lab on campus. Only the science and math majors could use them. The math and science kids always had stacks of cards and lots of tiny chads in their hair.

Nobody had calculators.

You couldn't own your phone.

Gas was $.32 a gallon.
