Police warning to men

Police today warned all men who frequent clubs and parties to stay cautious when offered drinks by women. Females are using a date rape drug called "BEER" to target unsuspecting men. This drug comes in liquid form and is available everywhere. "Beer" is used by female predators to persuade helpless male victims to go home with them. Women need only persuade a man to consume a few of these "BEERS" and then ask him home for no-strings-attached sex, a simple approach that renders most men helpless.

After several "BEERS," men will have sex with even unattractive women.

Often men awaken with only hazy memories of the night before, a horrible headache, and a vague feeling that something bad happened. Some really unfortunate men are even separated from their life's savings in a scam called "a relationship." In extreme cases, females have entrapped unsuspecting males into long-term servitude through a punishment called "Marriage". Apparently, men are much more susceptible to this scam once "BEER" is administered.

Forward this warning to every male you know. And if you, or some man you know, have fallen victim to this insidious "BEER" and the predatory women who administer it, rest assured: male support groups exist in every major city where you can discuss the ugly details of your encounter in an open and frank manner with similarly affected, like-minded guys.

are the ones that consider themselves unattractive. Therefore, if you don't consider yourself unattractive you should be fine. But that doesn't matter. by saying "Therefore, if you don't consider yourself unattractive you should be fine", you totally disregard that our society says that there IS an accepted definition of "attractiveness" regardless of whether you agree with it or not. And because of this, many women fall outside of this definition (and are well aware of it); even if "they don't consider <themselves> unattractive", they know that some in society do. I thought that some of this was amusing, but that most of it was demeaning. It's not that hard to recognize that this joke is at the expense of unattractive women IMHO, and you're asking people to totally disregard the fact that society (i.e. cultural norms, our "media" both print and tv, etc...)tells some people that they are unattractive (and hence, you say, they shouldn't be offended)? you can't have it both ways, but hey, they're your flames to throw...

No. I don't care what society's "standard" for attractiveness is. That's the real horseshit. If you have issues with your looks or your self esteem, deal with them. but the last few sexist jokes have not been attacked at all. Thats fine with me, because I thought this one was pretty funny. Beer has sure caused me to lose judgment from time to time. Not that I needed beer to make mistakes with women. I did pretty fine screwing up with women when I was sober.

that all the worst mistakes I made were when I was cold sober. I was so introverted and inhibited that I was only able to talk to women after having a couple beers. And after more than a couple beers, women didn't want to talk to me.

I tend to be a pretty infrequent drinker now, though in my college years I abused alcohol quite a bit. That cycle was never clear to me then, but now it makes sense. I got courage after a couple of beers to talk to anyone, than after a few more, I made such an ass of myself, no one wanted to talk to me when I was sober again. Fortunately most of my friends were in the same boat, so we talked to each other, probably because we could not remember what pissed the others off.

Alcohol abuse was a huge problem in my college. Fortunately I did not lose any friends to an alcohol related death. I know many who can not make that claim.

Still, even though this e-mail builds upon the acceptance of alcohol abuse, it is funny as hell.
