1. Illinois because of Chicago

4. Minnesota.

It doesn't just border on the Mississippi, it's where it originates. More importantly, it's a true-Blue state and the home of Paul Wellstone and Gene McCarthy (yeah, I know -- Norm Coleman, too, :puke:). But still -- lots of liberals still live here.

He's an opportunist, period. Only reason he switched over is that the Dems didn't want him to be their senate candidate in 1996. Norm is a totally unprincipled weasel.

You've got your choice of a massive world renowned metropolis like Chicago, or vast stretches of rural land.

Honestly, what more could you want?

20. Especially compared to Cambridge and Boston, the roads are wide

and there's hardly any traffic in Chicago! It just took me a half an hour to go from Alewife to Inman Square. That's 2.3 miles. :-(
