They were mildly clever when they had that fashion editor from the NY Times as their front-person (remember? cool elderly lady with the funky huge glasses?), but she passed on, and the spots clearly jumped the shark after that.

my wife and I finally started talking about getting rid of TV all together. Trying to watch holiday specials with my son has become a nightmare in fighting through all the commercials. I just saw recently that the Rankin/Bass holiday specials are on DVD.
