I'd really like to make my own peat and heat my apartment with that; gas heat is killing me this year!

3. you'll have to start with several tons of decaying vegetative matter
in 5-8 feet of water. Check with your neighbors first.

5. use your imagination
some duct tape and a little 'elbow grease' can turn that extra bedroom into a wonderful bog. Just dump the peat, turn on the hose, and leave the chlorine for the swimming pool!
