Anyone know a GLADYS KRAVITZ ???
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 03:02 PM by Skittles
My downstairs apartment neighbor cornered me on my way to work to express her concerns about the upstairs neighbors, who only moved in two weeks ago. She is concerned that they "receive too many visitors". I told her as long as they were quiet, which they apparently are, I didn't give a damn how many visitors they have.

Not the correct answer, I guess; she seemed somewhat miffed. :(

2. Are you kidding??? John Ashcroft is the biggest Gladys Kravitz in
history!

"What are you checking out from the library? What are your neighbors doing to support the war? Will you turn them in if they are disloyal? Where is your flag? How can we trust you?"

4. Did I ever tell you about the time
the hooker moved in across the hall?
I don't think I can tell it ALL here, but...
MAMA MIA!
Yep, she had lots of visitors.
They were pretty quiet, but her bedroom was 3 walls away.
Don't ask me how I know.

5. My neighbors across the street in
my last home had "too many" visitors too. Cocaine anyone? Thankfully, they left (thrown out, arrested?). Another neighbor had "too many" visitors. Two young women with a multitude of male visitors all night long and running a daycare in the daytime, believe it or not! This was the same house and was a rental. After that it was sold to "normal" folks. I don't blame your Gladys Kravitz. Very bad for the neighborhood and you might eventually agree that the new neighbor shouldn't have so many visitors. ;-) Too many visitors is one sure sign of pending trouble.

6. I understand bad neighbors
I've had plenty of them. But since I've been on-call, stuck to my laptop all weekend and haven't seen any of what she's talking about, I think she's just spying on them. How does she know their friends aren't coming over to check out the new apartment?

8. Maybe she is a busybody
and she probably has more time to notice things. I agree, the neighbors are probably just having their friends over to see the new apartment. I would give them the benefit of the doubt for a month or so before I'd really start to worry.

If you see Samantha, ask her what she thinks. :-)
