Why Does Bernie Ward Take So Many Breaks |
|
He seems to talk for five minutes and then take a break.....I dont mind that but at least when Mike Webb does he leaves you to listen to commercial instead of DEAD AIR..

1. Brother Bernie doesn't use a lot of ums and ahs |

He actually stops and collects his thoughts then comes back hitting on all eight cylinders. It drives me crazy when he does that but I've been listening to Brother Bernie for twenty years so I've kinda gotten used to it. Still, once in awhile when he does one of those Dead Air moments I occasionally check to see if my snooze radio turned off.

2. I don't know about the # of breaks, but some radio stations |
|
don't broadcast commercials because of an advertising agreement. Most radio commercials are for local businesses and they don't pay for national advertising.
Maybe the # of breaks depends on how many advertisers buy time???

3. Bernie Ward broadcasts from only one station - KGO |
|
He's not syndicated so all the commercials originate from KGO. Truth be told, he is very famous for his long Dead Air moments, always has been, always will be.
